Nikolas Anthony Carleo, signing in.

This is the area where my nerdy ambitions wreak havoc. Expect discussions about Doctor Who, Zelda, theatre, and what ever my obsession of the week just so happens to be. Hopefully, you will enjoy it as much as I do.

“One thing I’ve learned; if you don’t draw first, you don’t get to draw at all.”

~ Booker DeWitt

Can we talk about how much I hate this ad campaign?

First off, it paints the absolute wrong picture of the game it is advertising, making it seem like just another shooter where you save the damsel in distress, neglecting to even hint at any of the themes that perpetrate it’s highly complex story.

Secondly, and most egregiously, it depicts Elizabeth as the aforementioned ”Damsel in Distress” when she is almost never that in the actual game. She is an ally that frequently help you in combat situations and is even told to you by the game that she can defend herself.

I understand the reasoning behind this ad campaign, but it saddens me to see one of the most important games of this generation lowered in anyway.

I feel like I was the only person to actually like the Mako missions in ME1. I mean yes, they had their flaws, but it was the thing that really made you feel like you were exploring the galaxy.

God, I wish there was a “Dungeon Select” option after you finished the game.

My boyfriend works for an indie game developing company… he has a few apps for sale already, BUT the company he works for just released a new game and it’s for sale on the Windows Phone marketplace, Android market, Nook, basically every marketplace except for iPhone and PC (for now).

It’s called A Lighthearted Game and in it, you play a boy who has been killed and is now stuck in the afterlife, and is trying to get back to his body but can only move at the speed of limited heart beats. It’s cute in a morbid sort of way and my boyfriend designed all the levels himself.
If any of you have a Windows or Android phone, or any of the other platforms it’s released on, and have 99 cents to spare… it would be really cool if you helped out an aspiring game designer.
Also, if you do buy it, and send me proof of doing so in an ask, submission box, or fanmail, I will do something in return for you, such as a promo or something similar.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I would really appreciate it if you gave this fun game a shot! It’s only 99 cents! If you can’t buy the game, then you would be doing me a huge favor by reblogging this!

I may not be able to buy this, but please support indie game developers, they really are the next leaders of the industry.

I haven;t even touched the multiplayer and it is already my favorite game. Or at least tied with Darksiders II.

Also, this Timesplitters vibe that I am getting with all this portal jumping is just fantastic.

I really don’t know how they could have messed up the formula this bad. It doesn’t even feel like the same game anymore.

I am disappoint.
